Microsoft Engagement Mapping

Now that the Microsoft Yahoo! merge is off (for now) Microsoft seems to have gone looking for a new way to compete in the online advertising world. The result? Engagement mapping.
Instead of giving credit for the click entirely to the last ad viewed, Microsoft will now keep track of all the ads viewed. This will obviously be a valuable tool.
Assuming this takes off, and isn’t too expensive, I think this will be a very appealing tool for marketers. The ability to track how many and what kind of ads consumers view before clicking is very valuable.
