Professional business networking site LinkedIn has had a good year. The site is valued at one billion dollars, and continues to have a focus on helping users stay active within the business realm. Recent news states that LinkedIn and news company CNBC formed a partnership.
LinkedIn’s deal with CNBC presents several mutual benefits. For instance, CNBC’s financial news channel will show information created by LinkedIn users. CNBC will also enable LinkedIn users to utilize the CNBC website to discuss news with their contacts. Survey and poll results from LinkedIn will also be broadcasted on CNBC. In turn, CNBC will provide LinkedIn with its programming, articles and blogs, and financial data and video content.
With deals with the New York Times, BusinessWeek and now CNBC, LinkedIn continues to make its presence known in the social networking space.
