CVS and Google Partner to Enhance Google Health
April 7, 2009 by admin · Filed Under Google, Uncategorized
Google has made its mark in the healthcare industry by launching Google Health last year. Google Health allows users to organize their health information in one place, gather medical records from hospitals, pharmacies and doctors and allows users to share the information within Google Health with family, doctors and/or caregivers.
CVS customers will be able to import their full prescription history into Google Health. According to Tech Crunch, “CVS joins other major pharmacies including Longs Drugs and Walgreens in offering the same functionality, which combined now allow over 100 million Americans to import their medical histories into Google Health”. The healthcare industry’s strides in the digital direction have definitely increased in the past few months, and will continue to do so by making the industry more interactive.
