Twitter Positions itself as a Place for Business

Twitter has quickly taken the world by storm. Whether it’s friends, colleagues, celebrities or institutions everyone knows the importance of the microblogging tool. And while other social media sites such as Facebook have created a space first for college students, then all users and finally businesses, Twitter is taking the business world head on.

Today, Twitter released Twitter 101 for Business, a guide for using Twitter as a company. The guide goes through the basics of getting started, the way in which people communicate via Twitter, best practices, case studies and gives various third party resources for using Twitter. Perhaps the most useful aspect of this guide is the section on case studies. While many have been skeptical of the impact Twitter can have on businesses, the case studies show just how successful companies have been. Perhaps this is what was missing from Twitter to make it the complete package.
