Delicious Adds New Features

Social bookmarking site, Delicious has announced its addition of several features to its site. Delicious’ updates come with emphasis on real-time search, analytics and mobile. For example, Delicious will let users search for results within minutes. The new graphs can track where links are shared to and how (e.g., via Twitter). ReadWriteWeb writes that Delicious “added interactive graphs for periods more than 24 hours before the current time. Users can highlight an area on the graph and search for results that appeared within that time frame”. Recipient tags to a user’s bookmarks are also a new feature.
Lastly, Delicious’ attention to mobile shines through by catering to the needs of a more simplistic format. Delicious writes, “You now get a much richer bookmarking experience on the go… Use your to: read tag and read all those articles you’ve been meaning to read. Alternatively, see what’s popular on the ‘Explore’ page or search for whatever happens to pique your interest”. Will Delicious’ new features give it an edge against competitors such as Digg and Readdit?
