Google Analytics Makes Changes Based on Usability
Approximately one year ago, Google introduced its new version of Analytics. The new version of Google Analytics presents many improvements, and is geared towards usability. For instance, one of the changes implemented is the new ga.js code. The new code enables those using Google Analytics to customize their codes. It also permits the more experienced user to track eCommerce purchases, among other advanced tracking features. Because of its focus on the users’ needs, the new version of Google Analytics’ success is based heavily on how users react to the changes.
One question that long-time Analytics users may have in mind is how long will the old Analytics be useful? As of now, both versions are still available and useable. We recommend that users with the old version begin shifting their accounts to the new version, allowing them to maximize the available features of Google Analytics.
