Google Makes Changes to Google Checkout

July 31, 2009 by admin · Filed Under Web 2.0

PayPal’s lesser-known counterpart, Google Checkout has made some changes to its features. Google Checkout announced the launch of the new Google Checkout Store gadget in Google Labs. Essentially, anyone can create an online store. Users can keep track of their inventory through Google Docs’ spreadsheets. Users can then add the store gadget anywhere on their website.

While this isn’t a new innovation, the tie breaker comes with Google’s use of its Docs capabilities for backend inventory. All users have to do is copy and paste their products into a Google Docs spreadsheet and watch the backend. The key for Google Checkout is simplification and user-friendliness.
