PostRank Closes in on Engagement Tracking

September 24, 2009 by Marcel Media · Filed Under Analytics, Social Media

PostRank’s dedication to social engagement tracking is paying off as it is developing ways to track how users interact with social content such as blogs. ReadWriteWeb states that PostRank Analytics combines engagement metrics it already collects from social networks with traditional analytics data from Google Analytics.

The service is free for 30 days and only $9 moving forward. Additionally, PostRank would need access to Google Analytics from the site it would be going into to capture the necessary data. AS for reporting, “PostRank will display standard metrics like total page views, a PostRank engagement score and, optionally, the number of Twitter followers you have. PostRank Analytics also offers a wide range of additional features, ranging from daily ‘Concierge’ emails with a summary of your blog’s engagement activity to very detailed reports about specific posts”. PostRank isn’t limited to only blogs, it can also track engagement on Twitter, Facebook, delicious, Reddit, and Digg. It will be interesting to see how PostRank develops its analytics further as time moves on.
