It’s no secret that more and more people are on the web, and that marketers are taking advantage of this by catering to the digital masses. Marketers are finding that compared to traditional marketing, they are finding greater success with email and search engine marketing.
According to recent studies, “most marketing executives cite email or search marketing as their company’s top-performing advertising channel in 2009—39.4% and 23.6%, respectively—and over nine in ten (93.6%) say they plan to increase their budget allocation to digital marketing in the next five years”, Marketing Profs reports.

Less than ten percent of respondents cited offline marketing channels as their top performing advertising avenues. In fact, the same study conducted by Datran Media shows an ultimate shift in marketing dollars towards digital. “Among marketers who plan to increase investments in digital marketing, 75.2% say their allocations will increase steadily as 2014 approaches, while 18.4% say their allocations will increase greatly… [and] 58.4% plan to reduce or keep flat their offline marketing budgets”.
Have you made the digital shift yet?
