Yahoo Releases Yahoo Mobile

More and more users are getting their news updates on the go through their mobile devices. Yahoo had announced its plan to redesign its mobile version of its homepage, and released it today. What does the new site entail? Yahoo Mobile places emphasis on a cleaner, more organized interface. Additionally, Yahoo released an iPhone application.

Mashable writes that the new Yahoo Mobile, “provides localized search, quick email access, deep personalization options and compatibility with Yahoo Messenger. The iPhone application is even more robust, with more instant messaging abilities and sharing features for photos and status updates”. Users can also customize their mobile homepage by adding RSS feeds, weather, stock informations and bookmarks. Users can also add and access social networks such as Twitter and Facebook through the Social Pulse feature. Users are able to update their Twitter status or Facebook information from Yahoo Mobile. Already the most visited homepage in the world, Yahoo’s next conquest is the mobile web.
