Kelly Cutler, CEO
With over 10 years of internet and marketing experience, Kelly Cutler co-founded Marcel Media in 2003 after working for companies such as America Online, Inc. and Classified Ventures (cars.com). Kelly’s impressive clientele include HUB International, Rush University Medical Center, and Ryland Homes. She has worked with these companies to develop customized online marketing campaigns to achieve their business objectives. Kelly not only helps her clients strategize their online marketing goals, but is also known for developing close relationships with each and every client ensuring that they receive individual and prompt attention by becoming a true marketing partner.
A graduate of Michigan State University, Kelly moved to Chicago upon completion of her degree. In Chicago, Kelly has successfully completed marketing and business certification at the University Of Chicago Graham School Of Business. She recently achieved Google certification and is also an AdWords Professional. Kelly has recently been featured as an online marketing expert in leading publications such as Crain’s Chicago Business, The Chicago Tribune, Microsoft Office Live, The Register, Direct Marketing News, INC. Magazine and Entrepreneur Magazine.
With Kelly’s wealth of knowledge, she also instructs the New Entrepreneur Program at University of Chicago and volunteers with the Latin School’s Live and Learn adult education program. A life-long learner, Kelly is always staying ahead of marketing and technology trends. Kelly has conducted seminars on Search Engine Marketing and Web 2.0, was a panelist on The Stanford University Annual Conference on Entrepreneurship, and was featured as an SEO expert on Start Up Nation radio.
In her spare time, Kelly enjoys yoga, sailing, skiing, and traveling with her family and two dogs.
Ben Swartz, President
Ben co-founded Marcel Media in 2003 fulfilling a pledge to bring quality marketing services to Chicagoland businesses and beyond. Bringing 10 years of experience in marketing, sales and online media management, his work applies proven logic and reason to the world of interactive marketing. Having helped develop innovative sales solutions for AOL Time Warner while being ranked the as number one online media seller in 2001, Ben has honed a respected expertise in online marketing strategy and development. He has worked with a wide range of industries from healthcare to education, auto to entertainment. His experience in providing customized solutions in this fast paced medium has helped Marcel Media’s clients increase their visibility and sales through personalized service that’s second to none in the industry.
Ben holds a Bachelors degree in Business with a marketing concentration from The Ohio State University. He continued post-graduate studies in marketing and business at The University of Chicago and has earned a Google Certification as an Advertising Professional.
As an active member of the community, Ben continues to excel as a leader through such roles as a Charitable Foundation advocate for the Greater North Michigan Avenue Association, Charitable Lights Internship Program to a mentor in the Cabrini Green Tutoring Program. His leisure interests include sports, movies, cooking and scuba diving.
